Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services provided by Dog Minding Service. By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Definitions
- "Dog Minding Service" (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) refers to the dog boarding and walking services provided by Laura Roberts.
- "Client" (referred to as “you” or “your”) refers to the owner of the dog(s) receiving our services.
- "Dog(s)" refers to the animal(s) owned by the Client and placed in our care.
- "Services" refers to the dog boarding and/or walking services provided by Dog Minding Service.
- "Booking Form" refers to the form (electronic or physical) completed and submitted by the Client to request our Services.
- "Fees" refers to the charges payable by the Client for the Services, as outlined in our current price list or as agreed upon in writing.
2. Booking and Confirmation
- All bookings are subject to availability.
- A Booking Form must be completed by the Client, providing accurate and complete information about the Dog(s), including breed, age, sex, health conditions, dietary requirements, behaviour, and vaccination history.
- No booking is confirmed until written confirmation (including email) is provided by Dog Minding Service.
- For boarding services, a trial period or meet-and-greet may be required at our discretion to assess the Dog(s)’ suitability.
3. Health and Vaccinations
- The Client warrants that the Dog(s) is/are in good health and free from contagious diseases.
- The Client is responsible for ensuring all vaccinations are up to date, including rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and leptospirosis. Proof of vaccination may be requested.
- The Client must disclose any allergies, medical conditions, or behavioural issues.
- In the event of illness or injury during the service period, we will attempt to contact the Client or emergency contact. If necessary, we are authorised to seek veterinary care. All associated veterinary costs are the responsibility of the Client.
4. Behaviour and Suitability
- The Client warrants that the Dog(s) is/are not aggressive and have no history of biting or causing harm to humans or animals.
- We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services if the Dog(s)’ behaviour poses a risk to staff, other animals, or themselves. No refund will be given for unused services in such cases.
- For walking services, Dog(s) must be able to walk safely on a lead.
5. Fees and Payment
- Fees are detailed in our published price list and are subject to change. The total cost of services will be confirmed at the time of booking.
- A 50% deposit is required upon booking confirmation. The remaining balance is due two days before your Dog(s) actives start. A payment plan can be arranged.
- We accept payment by bank transfer.
- Late payments may incur a 10% daily surcharge.
6. Cancellations and Amendments
- For boarding services, cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the start of the service will receive a full refund minus a 10% administrative fee. With proof of serious incident, reasons for cancellations only.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start date will forfeit the 50% deposit.
- For walking services, cancellations must be made with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less notice may be charged in full. Cancellations for full refunds with proof serious incidents only. Or can be changed for a different day and time. Same again with proof of serious incident.
- Any amendments to booking dates or services are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
7. Liability
- While we take the utmost care of your Dog(s), all animals can behave unpredictably. Dog Minding Service shall not be liable for any loss, injury, illness, or death unless directly caused by our proven negligence.
- The Client is liable for any damage caused by their Dog(s) to property or other animals while in our care.
- The Doggy Cam will always be available.
- We hold Public Liability Insurance, details of which are available here.
8. Personal Belongings
- The Client should provide only essential items, such as food, medication, and a familiar blanket or toy.
- We are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings.
9. Photography and Social Media
- We may take photos or videos of the Dog(s) during their stay or walks, which may be used on our website, social media, or for promotional purposes.
- If you do not wish for your Dog(s) to be photographed or featured, please notify us in writing.
10. Data Protection
- We collect and process your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Our Privacy Policy is available upon request or via our website.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
